20″ MRR HR2 Staggered Wheels on IS250

I know, I know…..another IS250 with MRR HR2 wheels. Well at least this one is slightly different due to the owner wanting 20′s instead of 19′s. So for this car we went with 20×8.5 +35 and 20×9.5 +40 in the Silver/Polished finish. For tires we went with 235/30/20 front and 255/30/20 rear Falken FK452. The only drawback to those considering running 20′s is that you have to run a 30 series tire which is a really small sidewall and with stock suspension it makes it seem like there is a lot more wheel gap. To remedy this, we installed a set of Eibach Pro-Kit Lowering Springs. As you can see this helps close the gap and give the car a more proper look. The ride is a little stiffer than stock due to the shorter sidewall and springs but still very comfortable for your every day commute. 19″ MRR HR2 Staggered Wheels on 2009 Matador Red IS250

Here we have a brand new off the dealer lot 2009 IS250 RWD in Matador Red. This car turned out great and it was nice to see a pretty rare color IS250 come in for some new wheels and suspension. We went with the tried and true set up of staggered 19×8.5 +35 and 19×9.5 +45 MRR HR2 in Silver/Polish finish. For tires we chose the ever popular Falken FK452 in sizes 235/35/19 front and 265/30/19 rear. We also installed a set of Eibach Pro-Kit Lowering Springs which gives the IS a nice & suttle 1.4 inch drop up front and 1 inch drop in back. This is a perfect combo for the IS in my opinion. The lowered stance sets the car off with the addition of the new 19″ rims and the ride quality is just like stock. The HR2 is becoming one of my favorite wheels that we’ve installed on the IS. MRR GT1 Chrome 20s Staggered Wheels on 08 G35S Sedan

Here is a local install we did this morning. This customer was pretty dead set on these wheels and after a visit to our shop about a month ago to see the 20×10 display wheel in person the deal was sealed! These were backordered for about 30 days but it was well worth the wait. The car turned out amazing!! The set up we went with for this 2008 Infiniti G35S Sedan was the MRR GT1 in the Chrome finish. Sizes are 20×8.5 +35mm and 20×10 +43mm with a monster 4″ lip out back. Tires are Falken FK452 with 245/35/20 and 275/30/20. This combo fit the car perfectly. The look is amazing and the new stance is dead on perfect. After pulling the car around after a quick photoshoot and test drive, our customer was already waiting outside ready to see his new upgraded look. He was ecstatic and couldn’t be happier with the purchase he made!! Yet again, another satisfied customer thanks to elementwheels.com!

MRR GT-1 Black 22s Staggered on 2007 BMW 650i Coupe

Here we have a 2007 BMW 650i Coupe that came to us the same morning the customer purchased the car. He wanted 22′s installed immediately and wanted them on a budget. We got him into the MRR GT-1 Gloss Black with Machined Lip in staggered fitment that consists of 22×9 up front and 22×10.5 out back and feature a 3″ lip in front and HUGE 5″ lip in back! Tires are Nitto NT555 in 255/30/22 and 295/25/22.

This set up definately gives this sports car the aggressive stance it deserves. When I took it on a quick test drive I was getting mad props on the street. This car definately turns heads!!! This car also had a Dinan exhaust system on it which I might add sounded pretty badass. For all you 6 series owners out there this set up is easily doable with a very slight modification to the passenger side strut assembly. Unless you run a 245/30/22 tire you will need to use a hammer and bang on the perch where the spring sits just to give it a couple extra millimeters of clearance. After that 5 minute mod you are good to go!!! I think with a slight drop this 650i would be soooooooooooo sick!!!!!

MRR HR2 Silver 19s Staggered on 2009 Lexus IS250

Here we have another satisfied local customer who wanted to change up the look of her (yes I said her, women fix up their cars too!) brand new 2009 Lexus IS250. Her search for wheels ended when she saw the clean and sporty look of the MRR HR2 in the silver/polished finish. We went with the staggered set up which consists of 19×8.5 +35mm and 19×9.5 +45mm and wrapped them in 235/35/19 and 265/30/19 Falken FK452 tires. The HR2′s totally set the car off but we weren’t done yet. Our customer wanted the car to handle even better so we installed Eibach Pro-Kit lowering springs which drops the car 1.4″ front and 1″ rear. Next we will be installing Hotchkis Sway Bars front and rear. Stay tuned…

Before & After: Using Spacers For A More Aggressive Stance

Here is a brief little write up showing the effect of hubcentric wheel spacers and how they can improve the look and stance of your vehicle. By pushing your wheels out a small amount, anywhere from 5mm to 25mm can make a big difference in the appearance of your car. A lot of people don’t like the “sunken in” look of most wheels once they install them on their car and the way around this is spacers. A lot of manufacturers make their wheels in only a couple different offsets that will fit more of a general range of vehicles. For them, it is cost effective to do this, for example, making a 5×114.3 +35mm offset wheel will fit a LOT of different cars. By adding spacers you are not changing the width of the wheel but the OFFSET. The lower the offset is, the further away from your vehicle’s hub the wheel will sit, making it more flush with the fender. The higher the offset, the further in the wheel sits and tucks inside the fender well more.

Here is one of our good customer’s 1998 Lexus GS400 which has 20×9.5 MRR HR3 wheels at all four corners. The 9.5′s all the way around where chosen instead of 8.5′s up front because the 9.5′s concave in more which looks much better. This GS400 can easily accomodate 9.5′s all the way around without spacers. This car actually has 25mm spacers in the back making this rim essentially a +13mm offset. He has 15mm spacers in the front making the fronts essentially a +23mm offset. This car is lowered quite a bit on Tein Flex coilovers. He is also running a good amount of negative camber so the wheels tuck in nicely. This customer is a perfect example of the type of person that will do whatever it takes to achieve a certain look. Thats how most of the employees here at Element Wheels feel about our own cars too. We like to push the limits of vehicle fitment.

MRR GT-1 20s Staggered on Infiniti M35

When our customers come to us, they expect a high level of quality in all of the products we sell. Our customers demand the best, and they all have one thing in common: to break away from the typical cookie-cutter looks that everybody has done, or seen done, in the past.

This was also the case for the guys over at Jones Motors, when they contacted us about adding a touch of originality to their customer’s car. The stage was set – a stock 2006 Infiniti M45 that looked to be fresh off the showroom floor. This car had class, and had style, but something was missing. This needed something more to complete the overall look that the customer was going for.

We started off the transformation with a set of new shoes. The wheel and tire package includes a staggered set of hyper silver MRR GT-1′s, 20×8.5 up front, with an aggressive 20×10 in the rear. This package was made complete with a set of Nitto NT555 245/35/20 front and 275/30/20 rear tires. Just this alone really set off the car, and gave it an aggressive look, especially with a 10 inch wide rear wheel. The 4 inch rear lip made a bold statement and let everyone know what this car was all about.

Even with a daring wheel and tire combo, this car needed more, and the customer knew that as well as us. Next on the list was a set of Eibach Pro lowering springs. We wanted the car to hug the pavement, but still provide a great ride and excellent performance at the same time. Eibach was the undeniable choice to meet these strict demands. We installed the springs right here in our shop in Tempe, Arizona, and the results were unquestionable. The car sat roughly 1.6 inches lower in the front and 1 inch in the rear, and had a nice aggressive stance.

With everything that was done to the car, the customer couldn’t have been happier. We achieved every look he was going for – the car was sleek, low, and aggressive. It had style now, and it had it’s own touch of originality that is unmatched by any other. We were happy to help out a customer, our customer was happy with the end result, and fortunately, there will never be a case of identity crisis with this completely original M35.

Update 6/9/09:

Here is another M35 we installed 20″ staggered GT-1′s on. This car is slightly newer than the first M35 we did and is a ’07 model with the OEM lip kit. This car also was lowered with Tein H-Tech lowering springs. This customer chose to run nothing but the best for tires, hence the 245/35/20 & 275/30/20 Toyo T1R’s. This proves once again that you can’t go wrong with the clean, classy and sporty look of the Hypersilver MRR GT-1′s.
